Thanks to the high concentration of essential oils, mint has a refreshing aroma and pleasant taste. Due to its beneficial properties, it is used in medicine, cosmetology, and the food industry. What is the effect of mint on potency, will the properties of the plant act to the detriment or benefit of the body? These issues still remain controversial. Scientists have not reached a consensus on the positive and negative effects of this aromatic herb for the stronger sex.

Does mint affect male potency?

Among the stronger sex there is an opinion that consuming the plant leads to sexual impotence. This fact has not been proven, but men avoid drinking mint tea, chewing gum with such a flavor, and menthol cigarettes (although smoking is much worse than aromatic herbs). So does mint affect potency? Moderate consumption of tea will not lead to impotence.

The opinion that a plant has a negative attitude towards erection is a normal reaction. The problem is that the plant has a pronounced calming property, so the body tends not to leave a state of rest, avoiding stress, blocking physical and emotional activity, including sexual desire. We are talking only about a natural plant, neither lollipops, nor chewing gums, etc., have anything to do with male potency disorder.

How does mint affect potency?

People who claim that mint and potency in men are incompatible concepts refer to the results of the experiment. American scientists conducted an experiment on mice to study how mint affects the potency of men. In the rodents' diet, all drinking water was replaced with mint infusion. There have been negative changes in the health of animals. During an experiment on mice, with systematic use of the decoction, a decrease in the concentration of the sex hormone testosterone was noted in males. Subsequent examination revealed sexual dysfunction.

This result cannot be considered an unambiguous confirmation of the theory about the negative effect of the plant on reproductive function. It is necessary to take into account the fact that absolutely all the water that the mice consumed was replaced with the infusion. Like any other medicine, the plant has contraindications and restrictions on the amount of consumption, so an overdose leads to negative consequences.

Useful properties of mint

The effect of mint on potency is ambiguous, but it is very beneficial for the body as a whole. Medicinal qualities of the plant:

  • normalizes the state of the nervous system;
  • lowers blood pressure;
  • thins the blood, improves blood circulation;
  • relaxes and normalizes sleep;
  • improves the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • relieves fever, cough, sore throat;
  • relieves pain;
  • has an anti-inflammatory effect;
  • used in cosmetology.

Why is mint bad for men?

After reading the list of properties, you can make sure that its benefits are undeniable. Why then are we talking about possible harm to a man’s erectile function? Research by scientists into how mint affects male potency has shown that the medicinal plant is rich in the female hormone - phytoestrogen, which can slow down sperm activity.

From this information it becomes clear why men are so afraid for their virility. However, the effect of mint on male potency is exaggerated. Nothing bad will come from a glass of tea, because in the experiment all the liquid consumed was replaced with a decoction. In another study, a different result was achieved - constant drinking of the infusion, that is, 2-2.5 liters per day, can disrupt the functioning of the reproductive system of a man’s body. In addition, the decoction must be very strong. It turns out that moderate drinking of the decoction, limited to 1-2 glasses of tea, will not do any harm.

Today we went fishing at the Desnogorskoye Reservoir in the area where the Kolpino backwater exits. The weather was great. I don’t really like this part of the reservoir because it is poorly studied, but I wanted to wander around the expanses of the reservoir, even more than catch fish)))

And here we are. The road was more or less normal until the place itself. Lekha went to catch bream, and Ivan and I went to look for perch. In the first places it was just generally quiet for fish, although we had caught perch there before. And the search began))) I went to look for the predator, but at the same time I scanned different depths with an echo sounder. It’s interesting to see what’s going on in the depths))) But the fish didn’t even show up in the echo sounder. Then I went to the other bank and found an overgrown shoal there. I drilled, but didn’t even see a poke at anything))) How can this be))) An excellent place where there are simply bound to be perches, maybe not large ones, but they are bound to be there. I went fishing, but didn’t see a single bite)) I moved towards the Borovets creek. In disappointment, I already took out a spinner with a small spinner. And only after going through a few holes I saw some semblance of a perch touching the spinner O_o in the next hole I caught my first perch)))

I walked further along the shore and caught another one a little larger... strange, but at least something))) I was already thinking that I wouldn’t catch it even with the cats, but that would be really sad))) After lunch I send it back to the shallows, because I’m still like that I’m sure that there simply must be a perch there. I came and immediately caught a normal perch in the first hole.

I started wandering around the holes and periodically caught small perches. The peck was very bad, but the number of perches in the bag was still growing, which means the cats will be happy. I decide to try fishing on the bulldozer. A pike lands in the first hole and after a short time of fishing, it leaves along with the cannon(((cut off(((tied up the cannon and wandered off to look for perches with a spoon.
I walked around and went to Lekha to see how things were going with the bream. Everything was also sad with the bream... I went through the echo sounder, but didn’t see any accumulations. Wandered back to the shallows to catch perches. I caught small ones and one normal one and that’s it... It’s time to head home.

But... the lack of a bite didn’t spoil the mood as much as the sight of ice after parking some kind of bastard...
There is a lot of swearing in the video... our people are so stupid that they are just scribes(((If you don’t want to clean up after yourself, then just don’t take something to the pond that leaves garbage behind. There is no garbage and you don’t need to clean up anything after yourself... it’s simple... Of course, I’m also not ideal in this sense, and when I smoke another cigarette I throw the butt away anywhere... but such parking on ice is too much (((

So that’s how we fished in the reservoir... the weather was excellent, but there was very, very little fishing.

  1. Kholmets

    I know this backwater very well. I usually set up a camp either on the shore at the entrance to it or on the opposite bank of the reservoir - I like it there better.
    The place is so-so - not very good for fish, at least with legal gear. It’s a bit shallow there, with almost no drops - 4-4.5m, at the entrance 6-6.5m. The white bream is not large (previously more than 800g was not caught); crucian carp rarely moult in the grass. According to the echo sounder, there are not a lot of fish - there are much more interesting places near the fairway, not far from the entrance to this branch. At least a school of bream hangs constantly, and a zander is spinning next to it. True, the longitudinal wave along the reservoir can interfere with fishing in the fairway.
    The only pike point I have is at the end of this bay. Over the last 2 fishing trips I caught 5 pieces there.
    The monster that broke the whip is a purple carp. There is enough of this stupid beast from 20 kg and above. According to rumors, 60kg is not uncommon.

    Will there be a continuation? Or we went to the water to look - but it’s a bit far!

  2. Fishing 15-17.07

    Sergei and I planned this fishing trip last week. Even the expected weather did not change our plans. Sergei and his father arrived at the place on Friday, July 15, right after lunch. By the time my father and I arrived, they had already been plowing the expanses of the reservoir for a long time. The result was not pleasing - 1 small zander and several empty pokes and blows.

    The temperature of the upper layer of water is 27 degrees. The thickness of this layer is about 1.2 m. Swimming after the road is just a thrill!

    Two crews continued fishing at sunset - the result was ZERO! But the evening gatherings in the tent were a success!
    On Saturday morning, July 16, we continued fishing. At around 6.00 I took the first fanged one at 1.2 kg! Then I caught several smaller ones.
    Things didn’t work out right away for Sergei and his father. but then they took the lead in one fell swoop, taking a zander of 1.4 kg and a toad of 3.8 kg!
    By the middle of the day, the grabbing and poking had almost completely stopped. Occasionally, my wobblers were attacked by fanged beasts of the size of a piss!
    Moreover, small pike perch (200-400g) attacked even fairly large wobblers - 14cm.
    At around 16.00 Sergei and his father left. We continued to catch from time to time. But after 19.00 the grips stopped completely. During the day I caught 11 pike perch (5 I released), my father took a couple of pike (1 kg each) and a pike perch. There were also a couple of escapes of small fish, and an unfortunate failure of a good pike (2.5 kg or a little more) near the boat in my last grip.
    At sunset, a thundercloud appeared from the direction of Shmakovo. The thunderstorm rumbled twice during the night. Moreover, from 2 to 3, lightning and thunder struck 10-15 times per minute! All this splendor was accompanied by a downpour, fortunately at least the wind was not very strong - the tent and marquee were not broken.
    In the morning of July 17, everything calmed down and we continued fishing. The water has cooled to 26 degrees. Almost until 7 am there was not a single poke, but then luck was favorable to the father - a pike weighing 2.9 kg! He is new to trolling and this is his biggest trophy so far. The quality of the shooting is certainly not very good, but it’s not so easy to hold the camera in one hand and try to put the grip into the pike’s mouth with the other! By the way, in the background you can see the bay that was discussed in the Kholmets messages.

    After some time, I slightly recouped with a medium-sized pike perch. But the final point was still set by the father - a pike weighing 1.5 kg. Around 9.00 a thundercloud began to gather again and we decided to finish fishing.

    Some features of the distribution of fish in our fishing area.
    A flock of medium-sized pike perch hung halfway through the water at the end of the passage on a small spot - 30m.
    There were 2 pikes caught at the beginning and end of the passage, only one in the center.
    The center of the passage, where in previous times more or less decent pike perch were found, was silent.
    On a moonlit night from Friday to Saturday, fish splashed well along the shore - it is quite possible that the pike perch had fattened up. Another fact suggests the same idea - one of the pike perch burped from the stomach of a spined loach that had begun to digest, which lives in the coastal grass at depths of up to 1.5 m. The nearest such bank was 150m from the place where the fanged one was captured.

  3. Hello Igor! My friend and I were at the reservoir on July 16th. We don't know the place. We were told to turn left before Desnogorsk. At 3.00 we arrived at some pumping station or something. There is a bridge and a railway. They started fishing right under the bridge. We went for crucian carp, white bream, and roach. They took a white maggot, a red maggot, a worm, and I cooked a mandula from peas. We caught them using float rods and feeders. Only bleak, small roach, and small perch were caught. I was a little upset. Tell me, if it’s not a secret, what places do you go to? And where can you catch crucian carp, bream, etc. from the shore? good sizes and also for spinning from the shore?
  4. Finding places to fish!

    The reservoir is large, I won’t point out specific places (and I don’t know that much, I haven’t been everywhere) - I’ll tell you where there are approaches to the water. If you look at the satellite map, we seem to be living in the 21st century.

    Open Yandex maps (next to the search bar) - Desnogorsk reservoir (type in the search bar) - Change the scheme to Hybrid (Satellite photos + names of settlements and roads).

    Oleg, if I’m not mistaken, you chose a place in the Novoye Korenevo area. Right next to both Desnogorsk and the station. Look at the map and understand that you can’t count on anything global there - no fish, no rest!

    Places where they usually go:
    1. Coast from the Troyanov fault (canal to the left of Novotroyanovo) to Bogdanovo. There are not many exits, not every puzoterka can be taken!
    2. The coast in Desnogorsk itself - well, there’s probably no point in going there several hundred miles away, but the locals fish well there. Fishing is prohibited on the reservoir dam.
    3. Kukuevka district (dacha village - on the map opposite Novotroyanovo there is a light green cape, streets and plots are visible) - a small area up and to the left from the dachas to the narrow bay. Nice sandy coast.
    4. The area of the Solozh creek - the villages of Novosloveni-Myatka or on the other bank - the road through Desnogorsk-Saveevo-Klin. They also go to the Kolpino backwater - the village of Kolpino.
    5. In the Kholmets area there is a place in a creek near Aleshchenki, there also seems to be a ramp to the right of the bridge.
    On the other side there is an exit to the right to the creek, a little further on the road to Kolpino-Novosloveni.
    Opposite the turnoff on Kolpino-Novosloveni there is a dirt road to the left - there are good places to rest there. I've been fishing there myself lately. My camp is usually on the opposite bank opposite the creek near Aleshchenki.
    6. From Smolensk, through Pochinok, many go to the Shmakovo area - to the opposite bank across the bridge, and there you can go left and right to Stryana. There are not many places on the Shmakovsky coast itself and the roads are not Ice.

    I won’t send it to any specific place - collect information, and the first time is always a preliminary one. But it is better to choose a place next to or inside with some kind of tributary backwater, so that in case of windy weather you can find a calm place on the water.

    DVH specifics!
    Lots of snags. You can be left without all feeder feeders in the first half hour. There are not so many open coastal areas - it is better to fish with a spin from a boat, and in some places only from it. Not everywhere there are beaches. Nature is basically nothing - in some places there are pine trees and birch trees and sand. There are few mosquitoes, horseflies too, and there may be ticks.

    PS It’s unlikely that you’ll be able to understand this body of water the first time, but nevertheless the body of water is very interesting, and there are still fish there. A motorized planing boat can be very helpful - in 3-4 hours you can cover almost the entire reservoir in search of interesting places with an echo sounder and navigator, in calm weather, of course!

  5. Thanks a lot! We are from Roslavl ourselves, so we can try different places!!!
  6. Fishing 22-24.07.

    Seryoga’s friend and his father rushed to Desnar at lunchtime on Friday to fill up the place. My family and I arrived at 20.00. All day a strong wind blew, which drove quite a wave. All of Sergei’s attempts to fish in conditions where the wave was overwhelming the boat were not very successful - one small zander was caught. At sunset the wind died down a little and we tried to look for the fanged one in two boats. And oddly enough, he moved a little - Sergei and his father were having a squabble + a meeting and several pokes; we have three pike perch. True, I had a stupid incident - one pike perch (per kiloshnik) gained freedom by jumping out of an uncovered bucket standing under a boat can. There was a gap there just enough for him to get through, but he jumped like a dolphin, hit the side and we only saw him!
    A child caught two pike perch in my boat, and I only took fish near the boat - a new generation of fishermen is growing up!
    In the morning of July 23, we continued fishing. Fish activity is minimal. The wave, although small, made it difficult to catch. With great difficulty I caught 3 small pike-perch - I released the smallest one. Sergei and his father managed to take one fanged one and a couple of more or less decent pike (around 10-11 o’clock).
    By lunchtime the wind became very strong again. The clouds moved around, sometimes rumbling. It was cloudy almost the whole day. No fishing - no grip. Sergei and his father packed up and left by 16.00. We waited for a specific thunderstorm with heavy rain in the evening. After that, everything seemed to calm down, my wife caught a small zander and was released to grow up. The sunset brought only one pike per kilo - again the child distinguished himself!
    This morning the weather has changed - partly cloudy, a weak breeze, which has turned almost 180 degrees compared to yesterday. It’s as if the pike perch doesn’t even exist - not a poke, not a grab! A kilogram-sized pike allowed me to get away from zero.
    At around 10.30 we set sail for home.

    The weather, of course, is far from icy for fishing - sometimes rain, sometimes wind, sometimes sunny. The capricious Desnogorsk pikeperch doesn’t like this - to hell with him next time we’ll catch him!
    The temperature of the upper layer of water on Friday was 27 degrees, this morning 24 degrees. The fish were near the bottom all days, but no deeper than 7m. The riverbed is empty.

    PS Everything would be fine - on Smallfish one fisherman posted a photo of a type of Saturday fishing - 3 pike perch 2.7, 3, 3.2 kg, several smaller ones 2 kg + good perches (the largest 1.2 kg). I talked to an acquaintance who also fished this weekend - he actually had a blast with pike perch. And within sight, I didn’t notice anyone fishing for anything.

  7. Trophy fanged!

    This weekend I didn’t catch it myself, but I have information on catching some good pike perch!
    The first photo shows confirmation of the successful catch of one spinner, which I mentioned in the last message. 3 pike perch a little more or less 3 kg + several smaller ones, and a 1.2 kg perch is a good specimen.
    In the second photo, a zander weighing 5.8 kg was caught this weekend.

  8. Fishing 5-7.08

    We decided to explore in two boats a new section of the reservoir for us - the confluence of Stryana-Desna, at least none of us had trolled there before. On Friday, after a short inspection of the nearby water area, we wonderfully washed the brand new motorboat license of the captain of the second boat, Sergei - categories VP and GDP!
    On Saturday, from morning to evening, we fanatically searched for pike perch. Both in old places and in new ones. The result is practically ZERO - rare small pike-perch (from pipisochniks to half a kilo) and perch. My pike at sunset turned out to be a “record” - 1.2 kg! We took a closer look at the surroundings - small perch are simply swarming around schools of fry that have risen to the surface. Kolka didn’t care to do anything, even from the shore he caught several very small fish on a spinner. There is also plenty of pike perch - at least in the nets of vacationers, it is not so rare! There aren’t a lot of nets, but there are too many pieces of them on the snags, which makes fishing quite difficult. In one place, with a piece of netting, floated the already swollen corpse of a pike perch that looked to be over 4 kg.
    My plans (to thoroughly explore the chosen place) were suddenly interrupted by the failure of the echo sounder late in the evening. It’s not even easy to look for pike perch blindly!

    On Sunday we fished both in old places and in new ones - the result was almost zero. Occasionally a little thing would come across. But still, fortune turned to face me - one good grip, and a 2.5 kg zander is in my hands!

    PS Who the hell knows what a fanged one needs - he didn’t make us very happy this weekend. At least for wobblers there is practically no result at all! And the familiar “dzhigit” from the previous message went home after two hours of fishing in the evening - it was as if there were no pike perch!

  9. Meeting of friends at the Desnogorsk reservoir (Kholmets)

    We left Ivanteevka at 5 am on September 2. We are Me, Slava (Vrungel) and Sergei. Minka was more or less free. At 225 km, they “picked up” the camera lost by Columbus. The road to DVKh is normal, only 15 km before the place it turned from asphalt to sand and gravel. We arrived at the place around 13:00. We were greeted joyfully, fed and watered. There were already 8 people there. After driving 200m we started fishing. The bite was sluggish, we caught some, but nothing outstanding was caught.
    We met our neighbor, a fisherman. It turned out that he had been living in a tent on the shore since July. Then three more local aborigines came to visit him.
    We fished until dark, and then left our fishing rods and feeders on the river and went to the main camp.
    At night, by the light of a lantern, freshwater shrimp with claws swim out onto the shallows. Funny creatures.
    About 2 hours later we returned to the place and discovered that our gear was not on the shore, as well as our backpack, fishing box and bait! There was no limit to the outrage. Nobody remembers such a case! Hot on the heels, together with the rest of the guys, we began an investigation. The next day they found all 3 aborigines. They all went into confusion. Having combed the surroundings, we found our feeders and fishing rods near the tent of a fisherman neighbor... but they did not find a fishing box and a backpack in which there was a video camera. So our second day was spent searching for the truth and there was no time for fishing!
    On the third day, having restored the gear, we started fishing and... caught a silver carp weighing 14-16 kg (there were no scales). Everyone came running! Joy knew no bounds. We decided to cook it right away. It also contained caviar, so much that it was enough for a large frying pan! It was not possible to cut this monster with a knife, so they chopped it into pieces with an ax. Ready! The silver carp turned out to be, by all accounts, tasty and there was so much of it that they ate it the next day.
    On the fourth day, before 10 o'clock in the morning, we caught fish. There were bream, roach, pike-perch, perch and bleak. Moreover, the bleak was the size of an Iwasi herring. We saw a school of bleak 200 meters long walking along the river. At 12 o’clock we had to go home, but it’s a pity!!!
    On the way back, we were returning along the Kaluga Highway, we stopped in the forest and picked boletuses and boletuses. I arrived home about 24 hours.

    The Desnogorsk reservoir is a stunningly beautiful place. There are a lot of different fish there. Thanks Sanya
    Columbus for organizing a trip there.

  10. Desnogorskoye village. Kholmets. 12.07

    On the eve of the club meeting and sensing the failure of our operation, I decided on my personal action, when everyone refused the trip, I decided, so as not to wait at home for news from St. Petersburg from Alexander, I ran out into the night and the rain, half drunk, half alive.

    Why wait for you brothers, you have business, you have no money, I don’t have any, everyone thinks that I’m a cool fisherman, no big deal, I’m just trying to open new places for you and introduce you to interesting places and people of our Russia. Unfortunately, your passivity is killing me and drawing me closer and closer to the ground.

    If you don’t have money for a trip, it doesn’t matter, you know the saying, don’t have 100 rubles, but have 100 friends, you can always pay off your debts by mail. But this time I made the right decision, and without waiting for a call from St. Petersburg, I rushed to the village of Kholmets, which is located in the Smolensk region, where we were planning a club meeting. What can I say, Tverskaya is resting in relation to this place, Volodya, the owner of the places there, met me with huge hugs, the conditions have already been discussed, and various options for cooperation.

    Now just look at the photos and videos, over time I feel less and less like unsubscribe and give videos about my
    adventures, I want to write and film more ABOUT OUR ADVENTURES, in a couple of days I’ll go to Vrungel. “HURRY TO LIVE WHILE YOU HAVE THIS OPPORTUNITY”

Desnogorsk Reservoir - (reservoir of the Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant) reservoir in the European part of Russia in the Smolensk region.

It is a cooling pond for the Smolensk nuclear power plant. Ruslovoe, built on the Desna River.

Geographically located in the Roslavl, Pochinkovsky and Elninsky districts of the Smolensk region. The dam is located in the city of Desnogorsk.

Length - 44 km, maximum width - 3 km, mirror area 44 sq. km. The average depth is 7.6 m, the greatest is 22 m. The catchment area is 1250 sq. km, the length of the coastline is 134 km. Filling began in 1979 and was completed in 1984.

The hydroelectric complex consists of a reinforced concrete-earth dam 350 meters long and 17 meters high along the crest; a vehicle crossing is organized along the dam; the spillway is carried out from a height of about 12 meters.

The fact is that in addition to the traditional fish inherent in the reservoirs of Central Russia, such as pike, perch, bream, carp, grass carp, silver carp, crucian carp, roach, silver bream, etc. A program for breeding exotic fish for Russia was implemented in the reservoir, because the water in this reservoir is relatively warm even in winter. Which is an indispensable condition for breeding such fish. Indeed, in winter, this reservoir does not freeze in many of its places, as warm water is discharged from the nuclear power plant.

Let's return to the heat-loving fish, which, to the delight of fishermen, began to be bred in the Desnogorsk Reservoir. These are inhabitants of African rivers and lakes - telapia and Mozambican channel catfish.

Thus, fishing on the Desnogorsk Reservoir in open water is carried out not only in summer, but also in winter. The only exception is the spawning ban. In winter, you can often see fishermen on the reservoir fishing with summer gear in those parts of the reservoir that never freeze. They fish in open water in winter not only from the shore, but from boats, and in winter, trolling fishing remains popular on the Desnogorsk Reservoir. But on reservoirs in remote areas from the nuclear power plant, many fishermen engage in ice fishing. And such fishing on this reservoir is very successful.

The reservoir is located in the Smolensk region, on its banks is the city of Desnogorsk. The shores of this reservoir are very picturesque and attract not only fishermen, but also many people who just want to relax in beautiful places in nature.

Catching predators in the Desnogorsk Reservoir is carried out using spinning gear and the trolling method. Trolling fishing is carried out mainly for pike perch, but in some cases quite large pike are also caught on the bait. Predatory fish are caught using spinning rods mainly from a boat, this is due to the fact that the coastal part of the reservoir is covered largely with snags. This means that the loss of bait in such places is inevitable and very significant. The waters of the Desnogorsk Reservoir are famous for their trophy pike and pike perch. The perch here is also large and the fishing is quite good. But individuals weighing over 2 kg are rarely found.

Fishing on the Desnogorsk Reservoir is also successfully conducted today for channel catfish. This fish is caught both in summer and in winter, both with various bottom gear and with a float rod. The most promising places for catching this fish are bays that form channels with warm water. Carp, bream and crucian carp are caught from a boat using bottom gear. When fishing this way, it is necessary to take into account the level of snags in the coastal areas of the reservoir. If the bottom topography in the fishing areas is unfamiliar or completely unfamiliar, then the angler may lose all the baits on frequent hooks in a short time. It is not uncommon for grass carp to be caught on a donkey; many of the specimens caught on the hook are quite impressive in size. But the population of this fish in the waters of the Desnogorsk Reservoir is not yet very large. Such exotic migrants as telapia are also excellent for catching in the summer. In summer, this fish disperses throughout the entire water area of the reservoir, and in winter it gathers in those places where the water is always warm.

Fishing for silver carp in the Desnogorsk Reservoir is very popular. Often local fishermen catch huge silver carp weighing 30-40 kg, but, according to local fishermen, this is not the limit; occasionally specimens weighing over 60 kg are caught! This is due to the fact that fishing for silver carp became popular on this reservoir only a few years ago. However, poachers have been catching this fish with nets for a long time and are catching them now.

The main food of this fish consists of zooplankton and, by all accounts, silver carp is almost impossible to catch with a fishing rod. But in life this is not the case; silver carp take well on various baits that are intended for peaceful fish. But silver carp are just as willing to take both lures and live bait, in places where there is a shortage of zooplankton. The most effective way to catch silver carp is as follows: a bait with a small float is lowered into the middle layers of the water, and a cloud of bait is created nearby (it is better if it is flavored with vanillin). The best bait in this case is bread crumb, green peas and popcorn.

As for the cold season, winter fishing on the Desnogorsk Reservoir is very active. In winter, pike perch and pike perch are excellently caught on balance beams and spoons; pike are successfully caught on girders. It is quite good to catch roach, bream, silver bream and crucian carp in the reservoir in winter. But crucian carp, like other cyprinids, prefers to be in places where the water remains warm in winter. Typically, anglers hunting for peaceful fish are located in large numbers in places where there is a flooded riverbed. It is in these places that large bream, silver bream and roach are best caught.

Spinning fishing competitions from a boat are often held on the territory of the reservoir. Also on the coast of the reservoir there are several fishing and tourist bases where you can stay overnight and relax comfortably after fishing, or rent a room for several days.
