Even if they refuse me, they usually formulate it like this: "we have a job for a simple performer, it will not work for your level."

While my clients complain that they are not perceived as leaders, they are offered the most grassroots positions.

I noticed that I speak like a leader (we have already discussed this), I think like a leader, I discuss topics that are typical for a leader. Then I began to discuss some issues with clients, practical examples, solve problems for the manager, make them get used to the shoes of the boss. I do this especially before the interview. There is an effect. So I conclude: to become a boss, you need to mentally be a leader, to show yourself as a boss.

The conversation is not about theatrical play, imitation. There are very few good actors even among the graduates of the respective universities. An ordinary person is not able to play a given role well. If you manage to play a leader, then go to the theater or cinema, where you will make an excellent career. You absolutely do not need to become the head of the department. For the rest, there is only one thing left - to actually become a leader in your head. Only then will you emerge as a leader.

And if you are still trying to close all the holes with yourself, then I assure you, your ship will soon sink.

    Protect business interests

    Before that, you worked as an ordinary employee, you tried very hard to be noticed: you did your job well for this and gave 100%. At the same time, you heard, and most likely discussed with your colleagues:

    What a bad leader you have;

    How business processes are built incorrectly;

    How inflexible your work schedule is and so on and so forth.

    That is, you were, as it were, “on the other side” of those who built these business processes and came up with such a schedule. And now your colleagues have remained in the same place, and you have been appointed the first number. They will definitely sing the same song to you out of old habit. And here you will have to make the most difficult choice: either support the old line and continue to criticize the decisions of the leadership, or start to figure out why the decisions were exactly the way they were and start defending them in the face of your former associates.

    I have repeatedly seen how many employees calmed down when an order was issued to assign a new position. And, to my great regret, the newly minted leaders did not see themselves as a commander capable of overcoming something else. They just enjoyed climbing to the top of the pyramid. They deserve an expanded social program, managerial training, five people in the department, a parking space and other benefits that come with this position. And now they need to be left alone! Because they deserve it!

    I want to remind you that there will be a constant struggle for this position among those who want to take it. Any complacency of the commander reduces his chances of sitting in his chair and increases the chances of the one who will dig deeper and throw further.

    Therefore, any stage in a career should be taken as a start. Again you don't know anything, again you don't know how, again you need to learn, prove, overcome, fight and win!
